Our History
Word to the World Publications is a ministry of Central Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Kentucky. The work of this ministry began in 2011 when Central Baptist Church became involved in the Seedline ministry, providing church members with opportunities to participate in assembling Scripture portions for missionaries around the world.
From 2011 through 2020, volunteers from Central Baptist Church helped complete more than 1,250,000 John and Romans for distribution on mission fields across the globe. Through those years, the Lord used countless faithful workers to place the Word of God into the hands of people who otherwise may never have received a copy of Scripture.
As the ministry grew, so did the burden to do more. In late 2023, construction was completed on the Word Shop, a facility dedicated to the assembly and production of Scripture. This expansion greatly increased our ability to serve missionaries and churches by providing the equipment and workspace necessary to produce John and Romans and assemble and bind New Testaments and Whole Bibles.
Today, Word to the World Publications continues to grow through the faithful involvement of local churches. In addition to producing Scripture in our Word Shop, we also take the ministry on the road through Mobile Scripture Projects. These projects allow churches to participate directly in the work of Scripture publishing as our team brings equipment, and materials, to their location, enabling believers of all ages to help produce John and Romans for mission fields around the world.
Our mission remains simple: to help fulfill the Great Commission by providing faithful Scripture to missionaries, churches, and soulwinning ministries free of charge. We believe that every person deserves the opportunity to read God's Word in a language they can understand, and we are committed to working with local churches to place the Scriptures into the hands of people around the world until Jesus comes.

With a deep passion for the Scriptures, he leads Central Baptist Church with a steadfast commitment to the truth of God's Word. Under his leadership, the church has cultivated a strong heart for worldwide missions.
Jon Nothstein
Word Shop Manager
Brother Jon Nothstein oversees the daily operations of the Word Shop, ensuring that every piece of equipment runs smoothly and every booklet is printed with care. His background in logistics and management has been a tremendous asset to the ministry, allowing for increased efficiency and output.
Dave Smith
Ministry Evangelist
Brother Dave Smith travels extensively as a Ministry Evangelist, sharing the burden of Word to the World Publications with churches across the nation. His preaching is marked by a fervent zeal for soulwinning and a deep conviction that the printed Word of God is essential for fulfilling the Great Commission.
